Platinum Jubilee
What a fantastic day.
The weather was even better than hoped and over 60 members enjoyed an afternoon of bowling challenges. Some of these challenges proved to be fairly straightforward while others were virtually impossible, (or maybe I was just bowling badly!). Overall winners on the day were Gordon S, John B & John R - Congratulations to all three.
The tables in the pavilion seemed to creak with the mountain of food, and yet there were only a few leftovers and everyone had plenty of excellent food, with seconds for those that anted it.
Her Majesty turned up briefly allowing a few members to have a photo with her.
Thanks to everyone who ran activities, helped with the catering and especially to Shirley who organised the whole event and coordinated things brilliantly on the day.
