The Club’s first overseas winter bowling holiday was a great success. We enjoyed 10 days of winter sun and five days of bowling. Our hotel for the trip was a maze of twists, turns and tunnels with the added interest that it had been used as the setting for the BBC drama “Crossfire” which had been broadcast shortly before our visit.

The “Aussie Doubles” rules were new to most of us but we soon got the hang of things and by the end of the holiday. As is often the case, most of us had good days and bad days on the Green.
The overall winners were 1st John - 2nd Sue - 3rd Hilary
