The Club’s first festival day of the year. Over 40 members enjoyed an afternoon of bowling followed by an excellent buffet supper.

In light of the additional challenges presented by the enhanced crown we adopted a new format for the bowling. The 9 teams played each other in a (more or less) standard Crown Green competition. By the end of the afternoon just 3 points separated the top 3 teams, and everyone else only a few points away from victory. The winning team: Frank, Gerald, Gordon & Colin received their winners medals after the meal. However there seemed to be even more interest in the wooden spoons presented to the team that finished in ninth place.
