Stone Crown Challenge
It was a great pleasure to be able to host the 2023 Stone Crown Challenge and despite the threat of thunderstorms we managed to enjoy a day with only a couple of light showers.
Two mixed doubles teams represented each of seven bowling clubs: Betley BC, Little Stoke BC, Stafford BC (2019 winners), Stone Crown BC, Stonefield Park BC, Trentham BC, White Lion BC
After a very enjoyable day's bowling White Lion BC were comfortable winners. Stafford BC were runners up just a few points ahead of the other five clubs. Our president, presented certificates and the trophy to the runners up and winners.
John & Lynne Rainford and John & Pat Timmis represented Stone Crown and were looking good for second place until a couple of unfortunate losses dropped then down the table.
Donations for Tea & Coffee added to raffle ticket sales raised £286.20 for the President’s Charity.
